LOLA married her husband Steven in 1981. Together, they have 6 children, 14 grand children including 3 adopted grandchildren and 5 grand dogs. They are proud business owners in Great Falls and they have owned the Great Falls Lumber Do It Best Hardware store since 1987, the Fox Farm Dairy Queen since 1987 and the Northside Dairy Queen since 2002. They had the first Dairy Queen in Montana that offered the Grill and Chill design and their hardware store was the first store in Montana to offer the Do It Best co-op in Montana.
LOLA and Steven are also landlords of 23 apartments, 6 rental houses and 6 commercial properties and were awarded the most improved rental award for 2009-2010.
LOLA attended Vaughn Elementary School and Simms High School where she served as the class President and Student Body President. She then attended BYU Provo in 1978 and later attended MSU Great Falls from 2006-2010 where she earned her associates degree in Elementary Education.
LOLA has served in a variety of capacities in Great Falls over the years including in the following roles:
LOLA and her Husband Steven are active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where they serve in church callings in the music and youth programs.
LOLA believes her life experiences have given her a broad perspective of life which she uses as she legislates." Her life motto is "Find solutions before they become problems."
Her political ambition is to have the integrity at the end of her political experience that she started with, to listen well to her constituents and to be able to face the Lord knowing she always have done my best for the people of Montana.
